This new post in my hand-illustrated Natural Beauty Tips and Illustrations series, is about the amazing benefits of Bitter Almond Oil, its deep-conditioning qualities, and the luster it can bring to any dry or frizzy hair!
I’ve known bitter almond oil ever since I was a kid. Adults used to caution us against swallowing the oil due to its poisonous properties, but ended up praising this natural remedy as a fantastic hair-care product that can restore the shine and luster of tired and dry hair.
There are two types of almond oil: Sweet almond and bitter almond. A lot of people are familiar with Sweet Almond Oil, famous for being a carrier oil. But Bitter Almond Oil is not really on many people’s radar, probably because of its toxicity if taken internally.
Stress, a poor diet, and anxiety, can all contribute to hair fall. Bitter Almond Oil can be a great natural remedy to stop your hair from falling and to improve its overall quality.
Oiling your hair regularly with Bitter Almond Oil can help you achieve great results. Apply almond oil once or twice a week to moisturize your hair and scalp; this will prevent the hair from falling. After you massage your scalp, wrap your hair with a shower cap or plastic bag to ensure better absorption of the oil.
Over exposure to the sun, chemicals, and stress are known reasons for affecting the look and feel of your hair.
If you want to condition your dry, lusterless hair, then maybe it’s time to use Bitter Almond Oil as your all-natural hair food and conditioner.
To get rid of split ends, which contribute to the dulling of the hair’s appearance, use Bitter Almond Oil as a hair mask. Massage it into your hair and make sure to apply the oil to your hair ends. Put on a shower cap and wait for at least half an hour, before taking a shower. For best results keep the oil on for around 4 hours.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and I do hope to talk to you again soon!
